Campuses Scheduled to Move to Ccure 9000:

Beginning 12/14/2020 - University Park. *Please note that card readers will not work for around 20 minutes while a panel is being moved from Ccure 800 to 9000.

  • Please reference the schedule often as date changes could be made.  

 

January 2021:

  • Panel Migration - Panel migration continues with a tentative end date of 1/14/2021. Please see the above section on campuses/units that have migrated. The list is updated daily. The building's doors will lock for 5-20 minutes (depending on the migration programming work needed) while the panel is being programmed. Select doors from each building are being tested post-migration. 

  • Ccure 9000 Application Download - The Ccure 9000 download has been shared with active Ccure users. 

  • Ccure Migration Issues - The double swipe feature did not transfer fully to Ccure 9000. If your double swipe feature is not working at your facility, please submit a ticket with our office to work with you to correct it. ServiceNow Ticket 

  • Training – Ccure 9000 training continues to be available. Please utilize this training so that you are familiar with Ccure 9000 ahead of your panel move. We will continue the training into the spring semester as well. Please reference the training site at Ccure 9000 Training website. On this site, you will find written job aides, short topic-specific videos, and a schedule of our twice-weekly live zoom training sessions. 

 

December 2020:

  • Panel Migration - Panel migration has begun! Please see the above section on campuses that have migrated. Communication will be forthcoming when your panel migration is approaching. The building's doors will lock for 5-20 minutes (depending on the migration programming work needed) while the panel is being programmed. Select doors from each building are being tested post-migration. 

  • Personnel Freeze - Personnel have been moved to Ccure 9000. Any clearance updates you make in Ccure 800 will need to be replicated in Ccure 9000. Please make note of these changes. 

  • Ccure 9000 Application Download - The Ccure 9000 download has been shared with those who are migrating in the next few weeks. We will continue to share this information as the panel migration approaches. 

  • Training – Ccure 9000 training continues to be available. Please utilize this training so that you are familiar with Ccure 9000 ahead of your panel move. We will continue the training into the spring semester as well. Please reference the training site at Ccure 9000 Training website. On this site, you will find written job aides, short topic-specific videos, and a schedule of our twice-weekly live zoom training sessions. 

 

November 2020:

  • Moving to Ccure 9000 – A schedule has been established for moving panels from Ccure 800 to 9000. We will be starting with select Commonwealth Campuses on November 23rd. A more specific communication regarding the panel moves will be sent as your move approaches to describe the timeline, process, and collect contact information for onsite representatives.

  • Ccure 800 Change Freeze – We remain under a change freeze with Ccure 800. This continues to mean that if you have created new clearances, events, or time specifications (that you will need in Ccure 9000), our office needs to be made aware so that we can create the objects in the new Ccure 9000 instance. Please contact us with any necessary changes as soon as possible by submitting a ticket at this link ServiceNow Ticket.

  • Personnel Change Freeze – Soon (within the next two weeks) we will enter a change freeze for personnel in Ccure 800. This means that you will not be able to make changes to personnel (new cards, adding/removing clearances) that will carry over to Ccure 9000. Please prepare for this effort beginning now if you know of any clearance changes that will be needed. A more specific notification and instructions will be forthcoming once a start date has been determined.

  • Training – Ccure 9000 training continues to be available. Please utilize this training so that you are familiar with Ccure 9000 ahead of your panel move. We will continue the training into the spring semester as well. Please reference the training site at Ccure 9000 Training website. On this site, you will find written job aides, short topic-specific videos, and a schedule of our twice-weekly live zoom training sessions. 

 

October 2020:

  • We remain under a change freeze with Ccure 800. This continues to mean that if you create new clearances, events, or time specifications that will be needed in Ccure 9000, our office will need to be made aware so that we can create them in the new Ccure 9000 instance. You are still able to add clearances to personnel in Ccure. Please send us any clearance you have created to [email protected]
  • Tentative scheduling for the panel conversation from 800 to 9000 is being finalized and will be socialized once complete. 
  • Information on the Personnel change freeze will be coming soon. It will be taking place in November before fall break. Our office will communicate with you once a specific date is identified.
  • Ccure 9000 training is now available. Please visit our training site for job aide documents, pre-recorded videos, and a schedule of live training events. Ccure 9000 Training Website.
  • Ccure 9000 training events on 10/27 & 10/28 have been canceled. This is due to database work relating to the migration that is necessary during this week. 

 

September 2020:

  • We remain under a change freeze with Ccure 800. This continues to mean that if you create new clearances, events, or time specifications that will be needed in Ccure 9000, our office will need to be made aware so that we can create them in the new Ccure 9000 instance. You are still able to add clearances to personnel in Ccure.
  • Tentative scheduling for the panel conversation from 800 to 9000 is being finalized and will be socialized once complete. 
  • A Ccure 9000 training announcement will be coming in early October. 

 

August 2020:

  • We remain under a change freeze with Ccure 800. This continues to mean that if you create new clearances, events, or time specifications that will be needed in Ccure 9000, our office will need to be made aware so that we can create them in the new Ccure 9000 instance. You are still able to add clearances to personnel in Ccure.
  • We experienced some delay relating to COVID and the overall unique aspect of this year, we will be scheduling to switch panels to Ccure 9000 beginning in November after the students have returned home. If students should return home sooner, the schedule will be accelerated.
  • More information to come on training and scheduling of the move to Ccure 9000. 

 

July 2020:

  • Ccure 800 Freeze/Migration Tool – The Ccure system freeze is still in progress. While it has extended longer than originally planned, the migration tool brought to light additional items and configurations that the team determined were necessary to bring into the scope of the overall migration. The team is working to create 300+ privileges in the new system currently. Once complete, a revised timeline will be available. As a reminder, during this time any changes made in Ccure 800 will need to be documented so that they can be reflected in Ccure 9000. We continue to be available for changes that Access Coordinators are unable to perform during the freeze. Please be in touch, as necessary.
  • Panel Conversion - We will be communicating with you to coordinate panel-by-panel conversion to the new system. The team is waiting on the results of the freeze/migration of data for a further update on the timeline surrounding this task.
  • Training & Website – The Ccure 9000 migration website page is now live! Please be sure to check here for ongoing updates. Ccure 9000 training resources and guides will be posted once we are closer to migrating users to the new system. 

 

June 2020:

  • Ccure 800 Freeze/Migration Tool – We continue to operate within the Ccure 800 freeze while the migration tool is running. Physical Security continues to work closely with the migration team to review errors and identify additional items to migrate. Our team has received access to the new system and we are preparing to begin building user privileges in the new system. As a reminder, during this time any changes made in Ccure 800 will need to be documented so that they can be reflected in Ccure 9000. We continue to be available for changes that Access Coordinators are unable to perform during the freeze. Please be in touch, as necessary.
  • Panel Conversion - We will be communicating with you to coordinate panel-by-panel conversion to the new system. The team is waiting on the results of the freeze/migration of data for a further update on the timeline surrounding this task.
  • Training & Website – The team is working to building out the Ccure 9000 Migration website page (it's almost done!). We will communicate with you once the site is published.

 

May 2020:

  • Ccure 800 Freeze/Migration Tool – The freeze is currently in effect and estimated to last till around the end of June. As a reminder, during this time any changes made in Ccure 800 will need to be documented so that they can be reflected in Ccure 9000.   • Training & Website – The team is working to building out the Ccure 9000 Migration website page. We will communicate with you once the site is published.

 

April 2020:

  • Access Coordinator streamlining – A request was sent out to all Master Access Coordinators to request a streamlined approach to the current Ccure 800 users. This approach was necessary for the migration efforts and also provided additional security within the remote work environment. We heard from many of you and we thank you for your response and it has tremendously helped our team navigate the challenges of remote work and prepare for the migration. Thank you!
  • Ccure 800 Freeze – We recently communicated about the upcoming system freeze that is estimated to last approximately 45 days. During this time, any changes made in Ccure 800 will need to be documented so that they can be reflected in Ccure 9000. This freeze period provides the ability to migrate a portion of Ccure 800 to Ccure 9000. We are happy to continue to help and support where we can during this time. Please be in touch, as necessary.
  • Panel Conversion - We will be communicating with you to coordinate panel-by-panel conversion to the new system.
  • Training – Our team has already begun work on training documents for Ccure 9000. We are also investigating the possibility of a central website for migration updates and training support. We will be providing documented and live virtual training.
