"Your Right to Know"
In compliance with the "Timely Notice" provision of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Police and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 the University Police are giving notice of the following crimes.
The purpose of the Timely Warnings program is to provide community members with updated information on crimes. University Police will post the Crime Alert posters around campus to inform the community that a crime has occurred and is as of yet, unsolved.
It can be assumed that conditions continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the University community. It is the duty of the institution to warn of possible "dangerous conditions" on or near the campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an "affirmative duty" exists to warn persons associated with this University of possible peril at the hands of some third party or parties.

If you have any information that might be helpful in this investigation, contact the University Police by telephone at (814) 863-1111; in person at 26 Eisenhower Parking Deck; or if you wish, anonymously through "Silent Witness", or complete an online form about any of the crimes.
You can also report information relevant to a crime by calling Centre County Crime Stoppers at 877-99-CRIME, a crime apprehension and prevention network. A cash reward of up to $1,000 could be awarded to the individual(s) that provide information that leads to an arrest. Callers may remain anonymous.

1/28/13
REPORTED OFFENSE: Reported Indecent Assault, constituting a Forcible Sexual Offense, was reported on January 28, 2013, to have occurred on the sidewalk located between Shortlidge Road and the east side entrance of the HUB Parking Deck, at approximately 1:09 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013.
SUSPECTS: *UPDATE: The suspect has been identified and criminal charges to be filed.*
The victim, a student, reported that sometime between 1:00 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. on January 26, 2013, the above described male inappropriately grabbed her person without consent.

REPORTED OFFENSE: An Armed Robbery was reported to have occurred at 216 E. College Avenue known as Kranich's Jewelers at approximately 10:25 a.m., on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. One suspect was reported to have brandished a silver pistol during the robbery.
SUSPECTS:Three suspects are described as black males wearing black hoodies, one carrying a black duffle bag. The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot.

REPORTED OFFENSE: A Sexual Assault was reported to have occurred on the University’s Residence Hall area in the overnight hours of December 19, 2012.
SUSPECT: The suspect, a student, is known to the victim.
The victim, a student, reported she was sexually assaulted by known suspect in the overnight hours of December 19, 2012.
12/13/12
REPORTED OFFENSE: An Aggravated Assault was reported to have occurred on the University's North Campus bike trail area at approximately 2:30 p.m. The North Campus bike trail is located in a wooded section between Sunset Park and the Penn State Arboretum, about two miles from central campus.
SUSPECT: The suspect is described as a white male wearing all black clothing: black puffy jacket, black knit hat & black backpack; unknown facial hair. The suspect is believed to have a wound on his hand from having been bitten by the victim.
The victim, a student, reported at approximately 2:30 p.m. she was assaulted with an edged weapon by an unknown suspect.

REPORTED OFFENSE: Reported Rape/Sexual Assault, constituting a Forcible Sexual Offense, was reported to have occurred in the East Halls Residence Complex during the overnight hours of Saturday, December 1, 2012.
SUSPECTS:The suspect, a student is known to the victim.
The victim, a student, reported that sometime during the overnight hours of Saturday, December 1, 2012 they were sexually assaulted by a person known to them.

REPORTED OFFENSE: Reported Rape/Sexual Assault, constituting a Forcible Sexual Offense, was reported to have occurred in a university Residence Hall on the west side of campus between approximately 2:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 and 3:30 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012.
SUSPECTS:The suspect, a student, is known to the victim.
The victim, a student, reported that sometime between 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 and 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012, they were sexually assaulted by a known suspect.

REPORTED OFFENSE: Reported Rape/Sexual Assault, constituting a Forcible Sexual Offense, was reported to have occurred in the university’s Pollock/South Residence Hall Area between approximately 11:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 and 5:00 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2012. Pollock/South Residence Halls are located in the south portion of campus, adjacent to Bigler Road, College Avenue and Shortlidge Road.
SUSPECT: The suspect, a student, is known to the victim.
The victim, a student, reported that sometime between 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012 and 5:00 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012, they were sexually assaulted by a known suspect.
11/5/12
REPORTED OFFENSE: Reported Robbery with a Knife or Cutting Instrument: Taking or attempting to take anything of value from the care, custody or control of a person or persons by force or threat of force or violence and/or by putting the victim in fear by use of a knife, broken bottle, razor, ice pick or other cutting or stabbing instrument as weapon or as a means of force to threaten the victim or put the victim in fear, was reported to have occurred near the White Building between Monday August 31, 2012 and Saturday, September 1, 2012. The White Building is located in the south central portion of campus below the HUB Parking Deck and adjacent to Shortlidge Road.
SUSPECTS: The suspect is described as white male. No further description is available.
A friend of the victim, also a student, reported that sometime between Monday August 31, 2012 and Saturday, September 1, 2012, an unknown white male approached the victim and held him at knife point in an attempt to deprive the victim of money. The victim remained unharmed as the suspect left the area and was unsuccessful in obtaining the money.

REPORTED OFFENSE: Reported Aggravated Assault: Unlawful attack by one person upon another for the purpose of inflicting severe or aggravated bodily injury. Usually accompanied by the use of a weapon or by means likely to produce death or great bodily harm, was reported to have occurred on Shortlidge Road near the White Building bus stop and again on Shortlidge Road near McElwain Hall between approximately 2:15 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., Friday, November 02, 2012. Shortilidge Road near the White Building bus stop is located in the south central portion of campus, adjacent to White Building. Shortlidge Road near McElwain Hall is located in the south central portion of campus, adjacent to McElwain Hall.
SUSPECTS: The first suspect is described as a college-aged Caucasian male, approximately 6'01" wearing jeans. The second suspect is described as a college-aged Caucasian male with red hair, approximately 5'10" wearing jeans. The third suspect is described as a college-aged Caucasian male with brown hair, approximately 6'01" wearing jeans. The victim reported one of the suspects was wearing a long-sleeved t-shirt.
The victim reported that sometime between 2:15 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., on Friday, November 2, 2012,unknown males, punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. Once on the ground, the suspects began to kick the victim in the face. The victim was able to get to his feet and was gain knocked to the ground near McElwain Hall.

REPORTED OFFENSE: Reported Forcible Fondling: touching of the private body parts of another person for the purpose of sexual gratification, forcibly and/or against that person's will, was reported to have occurred near the intersection of Shortlidge Road and College Avenue between approximately 2:14 a.m. and 2:17 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012. Shortlidge Road at College Avenue is located in the south central portion of campus, adjacent to Atherton Residence Hall.
SUSPECTS: The suspect is described as a college-aged male wearing a dark jacket and a dark Cossack hat with ear flaps. The victim, a student of Hamilton Hall, reported that sometime between 2:14 a.m. and 2:17 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012, the suspect, an unknown male, forcibly grabbed her buttocks.
