Students
The University Police provide many services to the University community including key services. University Police are available 24 hours a day to aid students who may have inadvertently locked themselves out of their residence hall room or on-campus apartment—when the commons desks are closed.
Faculty/Staff
University Police can also assist faculty and staff when they accidentally lock their keys in their on-campus offices. Faculty and staff are advised that there are restrictions on when University Police can authorize entry to retrieve keys.
Vehicles
University Police has the ability to aid motorists who have inadvertently locked their vehicle keys inside their vehicle. On occasion when University Police cannot gain entry into a vehicle, they can coordinate with local towing agencies to respond and retrieve keys from the vehicle. However the motorist will be responsible for any of the applicable charges. Please be advised that the University, University Police, and any other personnel cannot be held liable for any damage to a motorist’s vehicle when this service is requested.
