The purpose of the Crime Alert program is to provide community members with updated information on crimes. University Police will post the Crime Alert posters around campus to inform the community that a crime has occurred and is as of yet, unsolved.
If you have information, please call University Police at (814) 863-1111 or complete an online form about any of the crimes, to report any information.
You can also report information relevant to a crime by calling Centre County Crime Stoppers at 877-99-CRIME, a crime apprehension and prevention network. Rewards are offered up to $1,000.00 if your information leads to an arrest. Callers may remain anonymous.

11/14/09-11/15/09: Sproul Hall Burglary/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a burglary/theft in Sproul Hall that occurred sometime between November 14, 2009 at 6:30 PM and November 15, 2009 at 6:30 AM. Unknown actor(s) entered an unlocked residence hall room and removed a Dell Studio XPS laptop. The laptop is valued at $1,300.00.
11/6/09: Cross Hall Burglary/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a burglary/theft that occurred in Cross Hall on November 6, 2009 between 5:00 PM and 7:45 PM. Individual(s) entered a Sorority Suite on the first floor of Cross Hall and stole a trophy from a display case.

11/2/09: Central Campus Thefts
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating multiple thefts from various central campus buildings. Unknown actor(s) have entered unlocked offices and stolen cash, credit cards, and wallets.
Crime Prevention Tips
• Keep your purse, wallet, keys and other valuable items with you at all times or locked in a drawer or closet.
• Secure laptop computers and other portable electronic devices.
• Report the presence of strangers or suspicious people to the University Police immediately.
• Report malfunctioning locks, windows, and doors.
• Practice responsible key control. Do not keep a spare master key in an accessible place for convenience of staff members who might lock themselves out of their offices.
10/9/09: Hiester Hall Burglary
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a burglary incident that occurred in Hiester Hall on October 09, 2009 between 2:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Individual(s) entered a room on the third floor of Hiester Hall and stole a grey, Samsung Instinct cell phone. The value of the loss is $400.00.

The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating two Burglary/Theft incidents that occurred in the Arts Building and Moore Building sometime between October 2, 2009, at 5:00 PM and October 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Multiple offices were entered and laptop computers, keys and cash were stolen. The estimated value of the loss is $5,000.
10/4/09: Criminal Mischief
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred on the 3rd floor of Nelson Hall sometime between October 4, 2009 at 3:15 AM and October 4, 2009 at 10:57 AM. Individual(s) defaced several room doors and threw furniture into the hallways.
9/26/09: Simple Assault
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a simple assault incident that occurred prior to the Penn State vs. Iowa football game on September 26, 2009 at 5:00 PM at the intersection of Park Avenue and University Drive. A male punched several bystanders and damaged a vehicle. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a white poncho.
9/30/09: Credit Card Fraud - Lost PSU ID/Lion Cash Card
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating the fraudulent use of a Penn State University student identification card/credit card. University Police are attempting to identify the college age, white male with a black “T” shirt and red baseball hat.
9/20/09: Missing Penn State Student
Penn State University Police are searching for an 18-year-old Penn State student who was last seen at about 3 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 20) leaving a fraternity house on the University Park campus. Joseph Dado, a freshman, was wearing jeans, a yellow T-shirt and blue zipper sweatshirt with a hood when he was last seen leaving Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at 319 N. Burrowes Rd. to return to his residence hall room. He is a white male with brown eyes and brown hair. He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. Police said he has not returned phone calls or e-mails since he was last seen.
9/15/09: Request for Assistance
The Pennsylvania State University Police are seeking community assistance to identify any additional witnesses or victims who may have observed a male indecently exposing himself in the men’s locker room in Rec Hall on 9/13/09 at about 1:00 PM. University Police are requesting that anyone that was in the vicinity of the Rec Hall men’s restroom on 9/13/09 from 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM, please contact Penn State University Police at (814) 863-1111 or Centre County Crime Stoppers at 1-877-99-CRIME.

The actor is described as a young/college age, light skinned male, with dark hair. The actor has been dressed in a variety of different clothes and has attempted to conceal his identity by wearing a mask.
8/24-8/25/09: Criminal Mischief
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred in Stone Hall sometime between August 24, 2009 at 10:00 PM and August 25, 2009 at 08:40 AM. Individual(s) defaced several room doors, elevator door and mirrors on the third floor of Stone Hall.
8/20-8/21/09: Cooper Hall Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a theft incident that occurred in Cooper Hall sometime between August 20, 2009 at 10:00 PM and August 21, 2009 at 7:30 AM. Unknown persons(s) entered an unsecured residence hall room and removed a laptop computer. Residents are reminded to secure all valuables at all times.

8/6-8/10/09: Dairy One Complex Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a theft incident that occurred in the area of the Dairy One complex and the Central Milk Testing Lab sometime between August 6, 2009 and August 10, 2009. Individual(s) stole 250-300 lbs. of copper piping.
8/6/09: Life Sciences Building Suspicious Activity
On 8/6/09 at approximately 1:50 PM, it was reported to the Pennsylvania State University Police that a male followed behind a female as she walked on Shortlidge Road at the Life Sciences building and pointed a digital camera up under her legs. The male then cut over to the Chemistry Building, momentarily walking away from the female, then caught up to her again, getting behind her and taking more pictures. It appeared to a witness that the female did not know the male and had no idea he had taken pictures of her. A composite picture of the actor is below:
6/28-7/19/09: Haller Hall Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police have been investigating several incidents of theft from Haller Hall that have occurred from June 28, 2009–July 19, 2009. The actor(s) have stolen money from inside various rooms. The value of loss is estimated at $170.00.
7/14/09: ASI Building Theft
On Tuesday, July 14, 2009, between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM two unlocked offices were entered on the 5th floor of Ag Science and Industries Building. The actor(s) then removed cash from wallets inside backpacks. Three white males were observed in the area at the time of the thefts. They are described as college age, clean shaven with short haircuts. One wore a wide rimed hat and all three were dark tanned. They were dressed in jeans and T-shirts that were covered with soil. 7/1/09: Ag Prorgress Area Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a theft incident that occurred at the Ag Progress Days site sometime between March 2009 and April 2009. Individual(s) stole a 7 foot miniature windmill valued at $100.
6/08-6/09: Schwab Auditorium and Chandlee Lab Thefts
The Pennsylvania State University Police have been investigating several incidents of theft from the Schwab Auditorium and Chandlee Lab areas that have occurred from June 2008 through June 2009. The actor(s) stole various fiberglass ladders.
5/14/09: Wagner Building Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a theft incident that occurred on the third floor of Wagner Building sometime between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM on April 14, 2009. Individual(s) stole a student’s laptop computer valued at $1,500.00.
5/13/09: Request for Assistance
The Pennsylvania State University Police are seeking community assistance in identifying a suspect who used another student’s identification to sign out a digital camera at the Audio Visual Services Office in Willard Building on 5/1/09 at about 3:30 PM. The suspect is described as white male, college age, and about 5'10" tall. The below photographs are of the individual who used the card. The value of the loss is estimated at $1,200.

5/09-10/09: Pollock and South Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police have been investigating several incidents of theft from the Pollock and South Residence Hall areas that occurred during the spring move out, May 9-10, 2009. The actor(s) stole various personal items including laptop computers, a television, cash, mp3 players, and textbooks.The value of loss is estimated at $5,500.00.
5/2/09: Criminal Trespass
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a trespass incident that occurred in the second floor Simmons Hall female restroom on 5/2/09 at 9:10 PM. The unknown actor entered the women’s restroom and viewed a female student as she showered. The actor was described as a white, college-aged male with light brown hair, “scruffy” facial hair and he was approximately 5’11” tall. He was wearing a blue THON hoodie and blue jeans.
4/25/09: Criminal Mischief
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred on the fourth floor of Bigler Hall sometime between 02:30 AM and 6:30 AM on April 25, 2009. Individual(s) removed and destroyed ceiling tiles from the hallway.
2/27/09: Hammond Building Burglary/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police is investigating a Burglary/Theft incident that occurred in the Hammond Building sometime between February 27, 2009 at 12:30 PM and February 28, 2009 at 3:00 PM. Individual(s) stole a Dell laptop computer valued at $1,082.00.
2/2/09: Bennett Family Center Parking Lot – Hit and Run
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a hit and run incident that occurred in the Bennett Family Daycare Center parking lot on February 2, 2009 between 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM. While backing out of a space, an unknown individual struck the rear bumper of a parked car causing damage to the bumper and breaking the rear tail light. The suspect vehicle is thought to be a blue SUV operated by a white male in his 20-30’s with dark hair and trimmed beard.
1/30/09: Pinchot Hall – Aggravated Assault
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred on Saturday, January 24, 2009 between 6:20pm and 6:30pm in the lobby of Pinchot Hall. Three unknown males wearing hoods, assaulted a male student.
1/21/09: Haller Hall – Criminal Mischief
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred in the elevator of Haller Hall sometime between 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM on January 13, 2009. Individual(s) used a Butane lighter to burn a smiley face on the ceiling of the elevator.
1/13/09: Stone Hall – Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a theft that occurred on the 1st floor of Stone Hall sometime between 2:00 AM and 9:00 AM on January 13, 2008. Individual(s) stole a folding ping pong table from the lobby.

12/22/08: Tener Hall – Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a bike theft that occurred at the Penn Stater sometime between 9:15 PM and 9:45 PM on December 22, 2008. Individual(s) stole a brand new yellow bicycle valued at $300.
12/15/08: Old Main – Robbery/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a robbery/theft occurring Monday, December 15, 2008 at approximately 2:45 AM along the south-west sidewalk of Old Main. Two suspects, one of whom implying he had a handgun, forcibly stole an I-Pod from the victim and fled the area on foot.
12/02/08 between 1:30pm and 1:35 pm, a female student observed a male inside the women’s restroom near room 102 Forum Building. The male was inside one of the bathroom stalls with a mirror lying on the floor. When confronted, the male walked northbound toward Stuckeman Building. The male was described as a white male, with a gray hoodie, black nylon pants, and white shoes.
11/29/08: Curtin Road Area – Open Lewdness and Disorderly Conduct
University Police are investigating two incidents that occurred near Pattee Library and the Forum Building.
11/29/08 at approximately midnight, a student reportedly observed a male exposing his genitalia near the bus stop along Curtin Road near Pattee Library. The male was lingering between the entrance of Pattee Library and the Curtin Road bus stop when he exposed himself to another student. When the student called for help, the actor ran south on Fraser Road. The male was described as having Asian facial features, wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and white shoes. The male was slender build, approximately 5’10”.

11/21/08: Tener Hall – Burglary/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a burglary/theft incident that occurred on the 5th floor of Tener Hall during the morning hours of 11/21/08. Individual(s) entered an unlocked residence hall room and stole a laptop computer valued at 1,400.00.
11/21/08: Mifflin Hall
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating an Arson incident that occurred on the second floor of Mifflin Hall on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at approximately 10:55 PM. An unknown actor(s) burned items on a bulletin board and the sprinkler activated causing extensive water damage to several rooms on multiple floors.
11/21/08: Curtin Hall – Burglary/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Burglary/Theft incident that occurred on the sixth floor of Curtin Hall on Sunday, November 09, 2008 sometime in the early morning. Individual(s) entered an unsecured residence hall room and stole a laptop computer valued at $1,300.00.
11/21/08: East Halls – Criminal Mischief
The Pennsylvania State University Police continue to investigate several incidents of individual(s) igniting smoke bombs in the residence halls of University Park. The actor(s) have deployed three smoke bombs in Pinchot and Sproul Halls.
11/14/08: Paterno Library – Attempted Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating the attempted theft of library books from the Paterno Library. On November 14, 2008 at 5:56 PM the suspect removed the library id stickers from the textbooks and attempted to leave the library without signing out the books. 11/11/08: Buckhout Lab – Criminal Mischief
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred on the first floor of Buckhout Laboratory sometime between 6:20 PM and 6:35 PM on November 11, 2008. Individual(s) pulled the emergency pull shower station in the hallway causing extensive flooding. The damage to the building and equipment is valued at approximately $25,000.
10/23/08: Lot Brown E, Thompson Hall – Arson
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating an Arson incident that occurred in parking lot Brown E by Thompson Hall on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at approximately 6:40 PM. An unknown actor threw a lit match into the dumpster and fled the area. The actor is described as a white male, 5'8" tall wearing a Northface vest and jeans.
10/21/08: Hamilton Hall – Criminal Trespass
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Trespass incident that occurred in the third floor Hamilton Hall female restroom on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at approximately 2:25 PM. The unknown male actor entered the women's restroom and viewed a female student as she showered. The actor was described as a thin, white, college-aged male with straight dark brown hair, approximately 5'07", weighing 140 lbs. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
9/14/08: Penn State Golf Course – Criminal Mischief/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Trespass by Motor Vehicle and Criminal Mischief Incident that occurred at the Penn State Golf Course sometime between 8:00 PM Monday, September 22, 2008 and 7:00 AM Tuesday, September 23, 2008. The actor(s) drove a four wheel all terrain vehicle (ATV) on the golf course causing damage to the turf by hole number twelve. The amount of damage is estimated at $4,000.00.
Due to information provided by the public, police recovered the ATV used in this incident, which had been reported stolen. The yellow ATV was found in the area of Corl Street and West College Avenue. Police are still seeking information on who may have stolen and/or operated the ATV.
9/14/08: Waste Water Treatment Plant – Burglary/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Burglary and Theft incident that occurred at the Waste Water Treatment Plant on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at approximately 2:04 AM. An unknown male entered a secured area and stole a utility vehicle which was driven around and then abandoned. The actor was a white male wearing a black t-shirt with white graphics and tan shorts.
8/28/08: Penn State Golf Course – Criminal Trespass/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Criminal Trespass and Theft incident that occurred at the Penn State Golf Course sometime between 11:00 PM Wednesday, August 27, 2008 and 6:50 AM Thursday, August 28, 2008. Unknown individual(s) entered into a secured facility and damaged two golf carts and drove another golf cart into a pond. The value of damage is not immediately known.
8/4/08: Beaver Hall – Criminal Mischief
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a series of Criminal Mischief incidents that have occurred throughout Beaver Hall since Monday, June 30, 2008. Unknown individual(s) wrote obscene graffiti on the walls and doors as well as damaged other property.
7/17/08: Intramural Building – Assault
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating an Assault that transpired during a basketball pickup game in Gym 1 of the Intramural Building on Tuesday, 06 May 2008 at 5:45 p.m. The assault was captured on video. Police are looking to identify the individual pictured below.

7/17/08: Simmons Hall – Criminal Mischief
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Criminal Mischief that occurred on the 3rd floor of Simmons Hall sometime between 1:00 AM and 9:30 AM Saturday, 12 July 2008. Unknown individual(s) wrote obscene graffiti on the walls and doors.
5/26/08: Beam Building – Burglary/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Burglary and Theft incident that occurred sometime between 7:30 PM, Sunday, 25 May 2008 and 10:30 AM, Monday, 26 May 2008 at Beam Building. Multiple offices were entered and 20 laptop computers, mostly Dell, as well as other personal electronic items were stolen. The estimated value of loss is $45,000.00.
5/2/08: Hamilton Hall – Acts of Intolerance
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating several criminal acts of intolerance that have occurred in Hamilton Hall during the spring 2008 semester. These incidents include doors and boards being defaced with racial remarks and derogatory comments regarding sexual orientation.
4/26/08: Nittany Apartments – Criminal Trespass
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Criminal Trespass incident that occurred on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 8:45 PM. An unknown male entered an unlocked residence in Nittany Apartments, spoke with an occupant and then left the area. The actor is described as a college aged white male, approximately 5'07", thin build, dark brown hair, wearing a white t-shirt and khaki shorts.

4/26/08: Patterson Building – Indecent Exposure
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating an Indecent Exposure incident that occurred on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at approximately 2:22 AM. The actor is described as a college aged asian male, approximately 5'10", approximately 155 pounds, thin build, black hair, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
4/17/08: University Park Campus – Graffiti
The Pennsylvania State University Police have been investigating several related incidents of graffiti around the University Park campus. The actor(s) have defaced several interior building walls, elevators, bathroom stalls, dumpsters, and a water tower.
Several of the graffiti incidents have occurred at the following locations: Stuart Hall, Findlay Commons, Redifer Commons, Carnegie Building, and Forum Building. Below are pictures of some of the graffiti.
4/11/08: Womer Tract – Criminal Mischief
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Criminal Mischief incident that occurred at Womer Tract, in the area of Whitehall Road and Plainfield Drive in Ferguson Township, sometime between March 2008 and Monday, April 07, 2008 at 8:00 AM. The actor(s) shot numerous trees and fence posts with shotguns and handguns.
3/29/08: Beaver Hall – Burglary/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Burglary and Theft that occurred in Beaver Hall Saturday, March 29, 2008 sometime between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM. An unknown person(s) entered an unlocked room and stole the following items: a brown Louis Vuitton backpack, a brown Coach purse, a black Dooney and Bourke wristlet and a cream Dooney and Bourke wristlet. The value of the stolen items is $680.00.
3/28/08: Packer Hall – Theft/Criminal Mischief
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Theft and several Criminal Mischief incidents that occurred in Packer Hall at various times on Friday, March 28, 2008. An unknown person(s) broke a window, scattered trash multiple times in the stairwell of the building, and stole personal property. The value of the stolen items and damage is over $400.00.
3/28/08: Redifer Commons – Criminal Mischief (two incidents)
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating two incidents of Criminal Mischief that occurred on the ground floor of Redifer Commons. The first incident occurred on Saturday, March 01, 2008 at approximately 11:00 PM. The second incident occurred on Friday, March 21, 2008 between 1:45 AM and 5:20 AM. In both incidents several male actors damaged numerous ceiling tiles. Surveillance photos are below of some of the male actors.

2/15/08: Davey Laboratory – Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Theft that occurred sometime between on Wednesday, February 06, 2008 and Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in Davey Laboratory. Unknown person(s) removed a Dell Inspiron laptop computer valued at approximately $2,600.00.
1/23/08: Penn State Conference Center Hotel – Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Theft that occurred sometime between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel. Unknown person(s) removed a 12" miter saw valued at approximately $500.00.
1/20/08: Aschenfelter Multi Sports Facility – Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Theft that occurred sometime between 4:15 PM and 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 20, 2008, at the Aschenfelter Multi Sports Facility. Unknown person(s) removed various checks from an unattended duffel bag. Total value of loss is over $3,000.00.

12/10/07: Life Sciences Building – Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Theft incident that occurred sometime between Sunday, December 02, 2007 and Monday, December 03, 2007, at the Life Sciences Building. Unknown person(s) removed two maroon collection bags containing an undisclosed amount of US currency and checks belonging to the Harvest Christian Ministry and State College Korean Church. The collection bags have a yellow cross embroidered on the outside.
12/10/07: McElwain Hall – Burglary/Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating two incidents of Burglary / Theft that occurred sometime between October 04, 2007 and November 14, 2007, in McElwain Hall. Unknown person(s) removed clothing and a digital camera from a dorm room. The total value of items stolen is $425.00.
12/10/07: Hetzel Union Building – Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Theft that occurred sometime on Tuesday, December 04, 2007 between 8:10AM and 9:30PM, in the HUB. Unknown person(s) entered an unsecured locker and removed an mp3 player. The total value of loss is $250.00.
9/5/07: South Henderson Building – Burglary
Between the hours of 5:00 PM on September 4, 2007 and 7:00 PM on 5 August 2007 unknown person(s) entered several offices belonging to the Prevention Research Center located on the first floor of South Henderson Building and removed several items, including a Dell laptop computer and a Central Processing Unit for a Dell desktop computer valued at $2,700.00.

12/20/06: Agricultural Administration – Burglary
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Burglary and Theft, which occurred in the Agricultural Administration Building. The burglary occurred between Saturday, 09 December 2006 and Sunday, 10 December 2006. Several rooms on the second and third floors were forcibly entered. Approximately $4,600.00 worth of property was stolen, including computer equipment and money.
11/20/06: Penn State Golf Course – Trespass
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Trespass/Theft incident that occurred sometime between 6:30 PM, Sunday, November 12, 2006 and 7:00 AM, Monday, November 13, 2006, at the Penn State Golf Course. Unknown persons cut a chain link fence and drove four golf carts from the complex across the golf course. Two of the golf carts were damaged. Also, a five gallon plastic gasoline container was stolen from the complex.
9/28/06: Moore Building – Burglary
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Burglary that occurred in several rooms in the basement and on the third floor of Moore Building between Sunday, 24 September 2006 and Monday, 25 September 2006. A laptop computer and various office supplies were stolen from various offices. The perpetrators used force to enter secured rooms in the basement level. The value of the stolen property and damage is estimated at over $2,000.00. There were two suspicious middle-aged black males observed in the building during the night of 24 September 2006.
8/15/06: Exterior Beaver Hall – Robbery
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in the early morning of Saturday, 15 July 2006. The victim's wallet was stolen by three males that approached him by Beaver Hall. The victim described the three suspects as black males, all approximately twenty years old, one approximately 5'08" with a heavy build and two approximately 5'10" with a thin build. The males got into a vehicle that was parked by Wolf Hall and fled the area. The value of the theft is approximately $325.00.
5/23/06: Historical Marker – Theft
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a Theft that occurred in parking lot Brown C, located south of Fenske Laboratory and east of Whitmore Laboratory, between Wednesday, 17 May 2006 and Monday, 22 May 2006. A historical marker for Old Beaver Field was stolen. Below are two pictures of the historical marker. The value of the stolen property is estimated at over $1,500.00.
4/18/06: North Chambers – Burglary
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating two incidents that occurred during the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 11, 2006. The first incident occurred in Cooper Hall, at approximately 4:50 am. An unknown male entered an unsecured residence hall room in Cooper Hall. While in the room, the male threatened the resident of the room. The male fled the area when confronted by the resident.
At approximately 5:20 am, a similar incident occurred in Haller Hall. An unknown male entered an unsecured residence hall room. While in the room, the male threatened the resident of the room and stole some money from the victim’s wallet. The male fled the area prior to the arrival of the University Police.
The suspect in these incidents is a white male with an average build who was reportedly wearing a black t-shirt and a black hat or ball cap.
4/10/06: Pinchot Hall – Arson
The Pennsylvania State University Police are investigating a fire that was started in an elevator in Pinchot Hall on Sunday, 02 April 2006, at approximately 04:58 AM. The damage is estimated at over $1,000.00.
1/10/06: IST Building – Burglary
University Police are investigating the theft of computer equipment from the IST Building. The burglary took place between Friday November 18, 2005 and Sunday November 20, 2005. Three IBM X Series computer servers (black), Cisco routers (blue) and a Cisco computer switch (blue) valued at $7,750.00 were removed from room 202 between the listed time frame.

11/15/05: Agricultural Administration Building – Burglary
On 11/14/05, the University Police began an investigation into a Burglary and Theft, which occurred in the Agricultural Administration Building. The burglary occurred between 5:00 PM on 11/11/05 and 8:00 AM on 11/14/05. Unknown actor(s) entered a secured room and forcefully accessed a safe.
The safe contained cash and donations to the United Way.
5/1/05: Indecent Exposures
Since May of 2005, Penn State University Police have investigated three incidents of Open Lewdness and Indecent Exposure at various locations across University Park Campus. The incidents have occurred during daylight hours. Locations of the incidents include the west sidewalk of Fenske Building, the Jordan East parking lot and the basement of South Henderson. The male has been described as being white, 5' 10" with short, light colored hair. He has been described as having a goatee and a pot belly. The University Police wish to remind everyone to stay alert for this type of activity.

12/14/04: Penn State Golf Course – Rape
The Penn State University Police would like to announce a significant lead in the ongoing investigation of a rape that occurred on the Penn State University Blue Golf Course on July 27, 2000 and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect. University Police and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department in Pontiac, Michigan have made a connection between the rape on the Penn State golf course and one that occurred on the Twin Lakes Golf Course in Oakland, Michigan on September 6, 1999. As a result of evidence being submitted by the two departments, a DNA match was made which indicated that the same individual was involved in both incidents. The suspect was also described as being either Hispanic or of Italian ethnicity and approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall. University Police and Michigan authorities each had a composite done of their suspect.
